Step into an afternoon of romance, artistry, and timeless beauty at a Valentine-inspired family concert presented by the Sasha & Mari Piano Duo at Chromatic Musical Academy in San Jose.

Dr. Mari Kawamura and Dr. Sasha Sound welcome the community into the warm and intimate Grand Room. The performance takes place on a historic piano, surrounded by fine art and soft light. The setting is elegant, accessible, and located in Downtown San Jose.

This program celebrates the expressive lyricism and emotional depth of the Romantic era through masterworks for piano four hands.

• Franz Schubert — Fantasia in F minor, D. 940 for piano four hands
• Robert Schumann — Bilder aus Osten (Pictures from the East), Op. 66 — Six Impromptus for piano four hands
• Sasha Sound — Song of the Light, Op. 8
• Nu, Pogodi! Suite for piano four hands (Arr. by Sasha Sound)

This concert is a heartfelt offering to the CMA community of students, parents, teachers, and friends. Over the past year, CMA has become a true musical family. Children of faculty play alongside students and other musical families. Music spills from the classrooms into hallways and shared spaces. Parents often find themselves humming new melodies at home, inspired by their children’s discoveries.

The venue has limited seating and is primarily intended for Chromatic Musical Academy families. A small number of guests from the extended community are welcome.

All ticket proceeds directly support CMA programs and student scholarships.

After the concert, guests are invited to a garden reception with artisan cheeses, charcuterie, fresh fruit, wine, and refreshments for children. A space to connect and enjoy the evening together.
