EVERGREEN VOICES  – CHILDREN’S CHOIR

ENROLLMENT NOW OPEN FOR FALL 2024! 

Grace Music Institute is thrilled to announce the return of EVERGREEN VOICES for Fall 2024, following the success of our Fall and Winter 2023 performances. This magical choir invites new members to join us for an inspiring new season!

Participants will immerse themselves in interactive music activities within a multicultural environment, exploring a diverse repertoire that spans classical, traditional, and original compositions.

Who Can Join?
EVERGREEN VOICES is open to children aged 7 to 12 who love to sing and share their talents with the community. This choir offers a fun, interactive environment where individual voices are nurtured and celebrated through group singing and collective music-making. Our program is designed to foster a sense of community, spiritual growth, creative vision, and artistic perception, all while enhancing musical and performing skills.

• Fun and Engaging Rehearsals: Our rehearsals are filled with fun, creativity, and plenty of singing. We focus on a wide range of musical genres to keep things exciting and engaging.
• Professional Instruction: Led by experienced and passionate choir directors, your child will receive top-notch vocal training and musical education.
• Performance Opportunities: Evergreen Voices performs at Christmas Concert on December 20, Spring Concert on May 31 and other GMI events scheduled throughout the year, providing our young singers with the chance to showcase their talents and artistic vision.

What Will Your Child Learn?

• Authentic Self-expression: Find your true voice through singing and sharing your Inspiration.
• Vocal Techniques: Develop vocal skills and confidence.
• Ear Training: Master the aural skills, intervallic relationships and pitch recognition.
• Harmony & Ensemble Singing: Learn to hear multiple voices, create harmony, and sing in an ensemble.
• Team Dynamics: Learn the art of collaboration and joyful co-creation.  

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Sundays: 11:30 am
• Thursdays: 6:00 pm

Location: Grace Church of Evergreen, 2650 Aborn Rd, San Jose, CA 95121.
Start Date: First Choir rehearsal for the Fall Semester begins on Sep 15

Participation Fee: $400
(Includes 10-20 group rehearsals, individual coaching sessions, and preparation for the GMI Concerts, including the Christmas Concert on December 20, along with other performance opportunities)

AUDITIONS:

• Sundays: 11:30 am (August 25, September 1, September 8)
• Thursdays: 6:00 pm (August 29, September 5, September 12)

How to Enroll:

2. Audition/Interview: Attend the audition. For the audition, prepare one or two songs, write a short paragraph about your musical journey, and be ready to speak about what inspires you to be part of Evergreen Voices.
3. Join the Fun: Start attending rehearsals and be part of the Evergreen Voices!
